K.K

An original poem;
I want to write about you.
A descriptive poem only about the way your body
and mine crashed like waves on the shore
when we kissed time stood still and breath caught
in my lungs

And this is a poem only about the muscles in your arms tensing and stretched
down to hold your weight above my frame that's fallen onto your bed
or you'll fall into my heart

And I can't help thinking;
"What if you want to get up?"

And your voice saying;
"Come here."
"I love you."
"I promise."

A poem about my toes uncontrollably curling against my will and
against my knowledge and
about your lips trembling against the part of the landscape
where my shoulder blade rises under my flesh
like a mountain
only
for you to climb

A poem about crying and breaking down walls
and about kissing raindrops falling from clouds in my mind
away with gentle lips only to make love that will last
and to spend eternities
coughing up soot but
we've ignited flames in our hearts

The tenderness in your touch could denudate the sun

I love you.
Look at me.
I'm Here.
