Resources

Hello lovelies! I get a lot of questions about what websites and sources I use for things such as learning yoga or learning to hoop, and questions regarding various other resources, so I've worked hard to put together a list of [some of] my favorite resources! I've divided them up into categories so they will be easier for you all to navigate and included links to things I use the most. I'll continue to add to the list as I find wonderful new helpful resources, so check back often! I do want to keep the lists fairly concise though, otherwise that would defeat the purpose of easy navigation, so I may delete some old links if I find ones I like better. Hope this helps!

Guided Meditation:  Guided meditations are extremely helpful, especially if you're someone who finds it difficult sometimes to be able to clear your mind enough to meditate on your own. These videos will help focus your meditation and help ease your mind into relaxing!
Yoga "Classes": I absolutely love doing yoga. It's such great exercise and a lot of times is an amazing way to start my day with my body and mind feeling good, but sometimes it can be hard to get myself through a practice. Sometimes I find myself feeling stuck, or unsure of what poses to do, and sometimes I like to have someone to follow along with to be able to learn more and have some guidance. I provided specific links to a few of my favorite videos, and also included a link to a personal playlist I put together on my YouTube channel, of all of the videos I use and choose from in my practice.
Motivation: Motivation is such an important aspect of anything in your life, weather it be motivation for going to work, practicing a sport or hobby, or even something as simple as taking out the trash or doing dishes, and motivation is something everyone finds themselves in need of at one point or another, and usually it's difficult to know where to turn to find some. Here are a few motivational videos that make me feel ready to kick some ass!
Short Philosophical Videos: Philosophy is not only interesting and at times, mind boggling, but is important because it can help improve critical thinking skills and help people better learn to analyze, question things and to think things through thoroughly. Philosophy can also help broaden perspectives or give individuals deeper understandings of how the world works, or even sometimes how they feel it should work! If you have read my FAQ's, you know that Alan Watts has been a huge influence on my way of thinking. Below I have included some links to a few short excerpts of his lectures that will do an awesome job of getting you started on your way to becoming a philosophical thinker! I also included a few other misc. philosophical-type links that will help get your mind going.
Hooping Tutorials:  Everyone has to start somewhere, and I know starting a new hobby can be really daunting and you may not know where to go to get the information you need. Or maybe you're just looking for a streamlined way to find tutorials and help that is worth the time. I'm still a beginner hooper myself, but here are a few of my favorite tutorials, of fairly simple, beginner level moves, that I have found so far.

Misc.:
  • CLICK HERE TO BE TAKEN TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL!!
  • If anyone has any questions about me or my blog, click HERE to be taken to my FAQ page. At the bottom of the page you will also find my contact information, if any of your questions were not answered in the FAQ's.
  • Clicking HERE will take you to a list of emotions that are commonly felt, but rarely described due to lack of knowledge of how to describe what you're feeling. This is really useful because sometimes being able to put a name to what it is you're feeling can help ease discomfort and make your feelings easier to communicate to loved ones.
  • If you're curious at all about crystals and how they can function as holistic healing or meditation tools, click HERE to read a post I wrote about crystals.
  • If you're an individual who could use more thorough sex education click HERE to be taken to a YouTube channel by a woman named Lacie Green who does a wonderful job discussing sex, gender and sexuality in a way that isn't boring but is purely educational. Sex education is extremely important and I advocate strongly for everyone to educate themselves.
  • If you really like the music that plays on my blog, click HERE to be taken to a 130+ song playlist I created with my friend Mychel on SoundCloud, full of music extremely similar to what plays on this blog! You could also follow me on Spotify, my username is corrupt_mango
  • If you're someone who is living on their own or could just use some general advice related to adulting, click HERE for a collection of practical advice put together by various Tumblr users to help new adults!
  • HERE is a collection of really strong words that look absolutely excellent on a resume, divided up by what category of job you're writing a resume for. This is an awesome resource!
  • HERE is a list of 52 story ideas if you're feeling creative but can't figure out what you want to write about.
